MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Experienced Educator & Technology Professional
Hi my name is Rome Wells.
I bring together years of teaching, technology, and hands-on learning experience to help children develop confidence and practical skills.
I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees, previously held Connecticut mathematics teacher certification, and currently teach at the university level in New York. My professional work includes full-stack engineering, cybersecurity, AI automation, and educational technology.
Since 2008, I’ve also helped connect students and families with educators through Tutoring Services LLC.
For Ridgefield & Stamford, & Norwalk & Greenwich families, I offer personalized Scratch, coding, and chess instruction for children ages 9–12, with lessons tailored to each child’s interests and experience.
Chess Is Part of My Family Heritage
But my strenght are in coding, AI Content Driven automations, cyber security and math. I grew up playing chess, inspired by my father’s competitive chess background in the former Soviet Union. Today, I bring that lifelong passion to personalized lessons that develop strategic thinking, patience, concentration, and confidence.

My Teaching Philosophy
Connecting Education, Technology & Real-World Experience
I believe education should connect what we learn with how we use it in the real world. My full-time work in software engineering, cybersecurity, and AI automation brings practical experience into my university teaching, while teaching helps me explain complex technologies more clearly and apply fresh ideas at work.
